Support and flexibility so you can enjoy your studying with us
Many students want to forge ahead in their career or switch industries. This can often mean working alongside your studies is essential. We offer flexible studying options so you get the best university experience and graduate with the expertise you need for your chosen career.
Full-time study
Full-time study, in general, means you will be studying the equivalent of a full-time job. This time can be made up in various ways. Lectures and tutorials may make up part of your course, whilst self-directed study and creative practice can also be part of your learning.
When you apply to a full-time course you'll need to consider your other commitments to make sure you have the time to enjoy and thrive in your studies. If you need to continue working or have life commitments that can't accommodate full-time study, you might want to consider either studying an online degree or choosing to study part-time instead.
Part-time study
Studying a part-time course means that rather than studying for the equivalent of a full-time job, your studies will only take up part of that time. This can make it easier for you to either continue working alongside or to manage other life commitments.
Our on campus and online courses are available in various delivery modes depending on the course. We want to ensure you have the best experience studying at Falmouth, whether that's full-time, part-time or online. You can discuss the best options for your course and career with our Applicant Services team.
Accelerated study
Studying an accelerated degree effectively takes a traditional three-year undergraduate degree and condenses the modules into two years. This would allow you to fast-track your career and make it into the workplace faster than your peers.
You'll get the same teaching excellence and industry connections, but with a busier schedule that will see you studying across three study blocks per year, instead of two, including through the summer. You'll be well supported with academic guidance and wellbeing support.
Returning to studies?
If you're returning to studying after a break it can be a bit daunting. We have a supportive team who can guide you through your options, application processes and onto your chosen course.
Once you begin your studies you'll have an academic Tutor who can answer any course-related queries as well as a Student Advisor who will be there to support your welfare during your studies. We love welcoming our diverse student community whether on campus or online and welcome those returning to studies.
