In-person event
Location: AMATA, Falmouth University, Penryn Campus, Penryn, Cornwall, TR10 9FE
Ticket prices: £3.00
It’s cold outside, and raining - probably… definitely. Everyone has gone home. The night is dragging the dark reluctantly behind it as day drifts slowly away. No one is left without or within. None to shine a light, none to cast a shadow, none to look upon what isn’t there.
Dark Villages captures life at the centre of the living and housing crisis. Prospects are bleak, yet a light shines at the end of the street; diligently, faithfully, patiently waiting for us to turn on the rest.
Let us open the shutters, draw back the curtains, raise the blinds and our glasses to toast and celebrate this community. Come laugh and panic as we shine a light on all of us left in these Dark Villages.
Sam and Olly are two theatre makers who look kind of similar, but not too similar. Through their real life connection they explore the dynamics of relationships that form the building blocks of society and culture. Sometimes dark, sometimes funny, always asking questions?
